The 2010 Jeep Wrangler is a four door sport utility vehicle with excellent off-road capabilities. The only engine option available on the Jeep Wrangler is a 3.8 liter six cylinder. The overhead valve unit features sequential fuel induction and a two valve per unit layout. The engine produces two hundred-two horsepower at five thousand two hundred revolutions per minute, and torque output is two hundred thirty-seven pound feet at four thousand revolutions per minute. The engine can be mated to either a four speed automatic transmission or a six speed manual transmission. The Wrangler can be ordered with either a two wheel drive system or a four wheel drive system. The two wheel drive Wrangler returns fifteen miles per gallon in city driving, according the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. On the highway, the Wrangler returns twenty miles per gallon in U.S. Environmental Protection Agency testing. Outfitting the Wrangler with the four wheel drive system barely reduces the Wrangler's fuel economy ratings. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency rates the four wheel drive Wrangler at fifteen miles per gallon in city driving. On the highway, the four wheel drive Wrangler gets nineteen miles per gallon in U.S. Environmental Protection Agency testing. The maximum load rating for the Wrangler is one thousand one hundred fifty-five pounds; carrying any load larger than this rating will decrease the Wrangler's fuel economy. The Wrangler can tow up to five thousand pounds when equipped with a proper tow package; towing any item with the Wrangler will decrease its fuel economy rating.
