Perform Graphic Driver Updates With These Simple Steps
Every computer device requires a driver for its normal and proper functioning. The first step before carrying out graphic driver updates is to identify the graphics card that is present in your PC which is done by running the GPU-Z program. For this, open the web browser in your system and type the address ‘http://www.techpowerup.com. Remember the task of graphic driver updates cannot be done without an internet connection. Once the desired web page has opened, click on the tab ‘GPU-Z' and type in the name of the OS installed on your system along with the graphics card number.
Once you have done this, the system will automatically identify your graphics card and give you information regarding the proper driver. The next step is to find out if the device driver that you are using is outdated; for this, you need to visit the website of the graphics card manufacturer like Dell or HP. The second option that you have to perform graphic driver updates is to go to the site ‘www.ati.amd.com/support/driver' and select the option ‘Download Graphic Drivers.
Choose the operating system of your PC along with the graphics card family and product and then click the ‘download' option to get the latest version of the graphic driver. For those who are comfortable with a language other than English, this site also provides an option to select the preferred language. Once the download is completed, save the file on your desktop or in any other safe location. Install the latest driver software after removing the old one and then restart the system to get the new one running.
Graphic driver updates are very necessary to ensure smooth running of the ATI or AMD graphics card. Only with the proper driver, you will be able to use all the functions of the card to the best of its capability.
