The most important thing that a person must remember when they go through to get a federal student loan is that they need to make sure that they take the time to shop around to get the lowest rate on their student loan when they are first starting out and looking to get a loan. One of the biggest mistakes that people make is they just assume that it is okay to go ahead with the very first loan that they find, when chances are that this is not the smartest move and that they would be able to find a more affordable loan if they just took the time to look around a bit more.
Federal student loan repayment does not have to be hard, but it can be challenging so make sure that you keep track of your loan and of how much you are owing.
