Whether you are traveling in a business class flight for business use or even for vacation, you would surely be caught by jet lag if the trip is lengthy. If you are lucky you would never get affected by a jet lag. But if you get have had the experience you would blindly accept that it can be quite severe and is definitely something that you wish to avoid.

Here are certain tips that would help you to avoid jet lags even if you are on a long haul flight. The most prominent method of avoiding jet lag would to keep yourself hydrated. It has been calculated that the humidity in the airplanes comes around 15%. This comes nearer to the humidity experienced at world's driest place. Hence it is important to drink lots of water particularly almost 8 oz. every hour which would replace the amount of water that you are losing from your skin surface. Usually the first class and business class passengers would be provided drinks very soon after they are seated. But in economy class this is not the case. So it is important to keep yourself hydrated before boarding the flight.

Keep a track of time that you are traveling. It is always good to set your watch soon after the flight attendants announce the time in your new destination. This would be very helpful for you to stay awake if you are arriving in the evening or to catch a nap if you are arriving in the morning. It is always important to make yourself comfortable during the trip. Ensure that the seating is cozy and wear loose clothing swap your shoes for socks once you have settled. Some people may experience neck pain and for them it would be better advised to use an inflatable neck pillow. The seats in business class would be reclined for comfort and there are only few chances to suffer neck pain in such seats.

If you are concerned about lack of sleep during flight trip, sleeping pills is never an option to try out. Moreover if it's for the first time, never take a risk. Getting some sleep would be the best option to fight the jet lag. In business class flights, the seats would be comfortable enough to get some sleep throughout the journey. Eye mask and a set of ear plugs would be very helpful in getting a proper sleep. The ear plugs are highly useful for combating the ear ringing that many people experience following the roaring of engines. You must also keep in mind that keeping the eyes closed would be 70 to 80 percent as effective as getting real sleep.

You must also be careful while selecting the food to eat while you are traveling on air. Sometimes the pressurized cabins can have odd effects on the gastro intestinal system. Try to avoid gas inducing foods and also milk if you are lactose intolerant. Include high fiber smacks in your diet before and during traveling.
