No sooner are you in Copenhagen, Denmark's capital city, then its name suddenly changes to Frederiksberg; a municipality within and encircled by Copenhagen. The posh Frederiksberg boasts a City Hall of its own, near which there is a place where time has stood still - Café Intime.

Copenhagen is known as a fairy city and in addition it is also known as being a vibrant city that offers a wonderful nightlife and being gay in this part of the world is almost the same as being straight as there are many things to see and do for gays in Copenhagen.

Holidays in Copenhagen with the time has made a status and reputation as a chief destination for creative cuisine. Throughout the warmer months local Danish fruits and vegetables are produced. In Tivoli, the gardens' two Michelin-famous eating joints, Herman and Restaurant Kokkeriet, battle with creative cooking. Close by is the Michelin-starred Noma, which has been considered by experts among the top 10 restaurants in the world.

There is uncountable number of enjoyable places to take pleasure in a pint of Carlsberg smooth pilsner, the town's home brew, or any of Denmark's many other microbrews.

You will remark that Copenhagen is still free of skyscrapers, and the old classic buildings with green roofs and many spires are covered by corrugated cobber and give Copenhagen a special charm. The public transportation system is very good with yellow busses, the subway, called the S-train, and a Metro-line, and Copenhagen is very suitable for pedestrians.

On your route though the main walking street, Strøget, you will at at Kongens Nytorv and from there you can easily visit Nyhavn ('New Harbour') that was a sailors' amusement area, but now is a very attractive place for tourists and Danes enjoying a beer and the good atmosphere
