Truck shipping accounts for a very large amount of freight movement across the United States.  In turn, this requires a lot of different components and parts that continually enable all kinds of trucks to meet shipping deadlines and keep safe during long travel distances.  Automotive brake release cables are an especially important asset to keep at optimum efficiency and maintenance, as many accidents can be caused by brake failures, and the components associated with their performance.  Mechanical cables actually play very large and important roles in different functions within freight trucks, and it is important that they are manufactured to the highest level of safety possible.

Truck braking systems usually function as a result of air brake systems.  The air brake was originally invented in 1872 by an inventor named George Westinghouse, who then patented the design and started his own manufacturing company to create and distribute his creation.  The air brake is quite simple in function: when the automotive control cables are put into action by a switch, compressed air is forced out of a reservoir.  When this occurs, it pushes a piston which in turn presses the brake onto either the wheel or axle.  Over the years, the original design has been slightly modified as new technology has come into play, but the design has still remained basically unchanged after all these years.  When realizing how important a role that mechanical cables play in the function of this feature, cable manufacturing facilities always emphasize the importance of the product's safety and make sure to put it through rigorous testing to ensure that potential accidents will be eliminated as much as possible.
