Jumping into a niche we know nothing about. This almost guarantees that we'll create mediocre content and never rise above the pack. Making a low quality blog. If we don't prepare enough, our blog will look and feel like all the others in the niche and be lost. A lack of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). If we don't prepare with keyword research and an understanding of the niche, our blog won't rank in the search engines and we'll get little or no traffic.

Caution: It's easy to jump right in to creating a blog without much preparation. Doing this is a prescription for tripping over one or another of these pitfalls. Whatever you do, don't do this!
