If you are building your landing pages from scratch, the old way, then the chances are you are spending hours doing it. There's no point having a landing page, when Internet marketing, if it doesn't look professional. Your customers won't stay on the page if you do not. After all, that's what Internet marketing is all about: matching up customers with the goods that they want. They won't stay long enough to see those goods if the page looks like something the cat dragged in. If you are using hard to use website builder tools then you are at a disadvantage from the go.
The problem is that it does take a lot of time. It can be disheartening if you've spent literally hours getting a page up for a campaign and it is second rate, but you can't do better with the skills you have. You might not be willing to let that campaign go, if it fails, and move onto the next because of the time investment, and end up spending even more hours trying to get the website to look 'just right'. It can be hard to let go of a campaign, especially one you think is good but is not working for you, and it's a lot harder when you have spent a lot time on it as well.
The best way around this would be to make website design easy so that you don't have to spend hours on the landing page. It can be done. In fact there is a new set of website builder tools just about to hit the market with the Internet marketer especially in mind. The good thing is that the developers of the software intimately understand the industry, and the people in it, and have designed the tool accordingly.
The whole idea is to reduce the amount of time you spend building websites, so that you can concentrate on the areas that matter. I can't wait for the website builder to become live, personally. Right now I am using a free site because I don't have the time to learn how to use yet another website builder program. All my previous attempts have been dismal failures. There are, for me, distinct advantages in jumping in this direction and away from the free site. The biggest one is that the free site has advertising on it. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for the tool they've given me, I just wish the advertising on the site didn't compete directly with the product I am promoting.
I bet you've been there, too. Or if you haven't that you're sick of using cookie cutter templates. Have you noticed that, after a while, you can pick the sites that use templates? That will be another great thing about this product, you can use templates or not. Or you can copy what works from other sites quickly and easily. Yes, I'm excited about the new tool, and if you are an Internet marketer then it's worth checking out. Especially if you want to spend your time on what matters most, refining your campaigns.
