If you are overweight or you have reached a time in your life where your beginning to put on pounds and weight in places you really don't want it to be, you probably have looked in the mirror and saw the area and the skin beneath your chin has actually started to double and has doubled past its intended size. You can make your face look twice as big as it really if you have a double chin and this condition could be unsightly and even embarrassing in public. To get rid of the double chin you can eat less but your weight would have to be distributed throughout your whole body for that weight loss to work.

Double chin exercises are the best way for you to take the weight off your face and have double chin come back to be the single chin that you need and want. These exercises are simple, you just have to take time throughout your busy day and be able to exercise your facial muscles.

You have to exercise your platysma muscle. The platysma muscle is the muscle that overlaps the sternocleidomastoid. Simply put it is the muscle under your chin and up your neck. Exercises such as opening and closing your mouth, turning your jaw from side to side, and other such exercises all work the platysma.

These exercises will pull the double chin from the fat that is hanging and back into the normal bone area that it needs to be in. Double chin exercises are easy to do and can complete them and about 10 to 20 minutes a day. While sitting at your desk at your office or even driving a car you can practice double chin exercises to reduce the double chin and to make your face look young and beautiful again.
