Magnifying mirror
There are some grooming tools that I just can't live without. One product that is critical in the bathroom is the magnifying mirror but time after time I find that friends and loved ones rarely have this essential grooming item. This comes as a real surprise to me because I couldn't imagine getting ready without my magnifying mirror.
This grooming mirror is so important for a few reasons. The first being, we don't see ourselves quite as well as we think we do. I have had too many occasions when I failed to use a magnifying mirror that wound up a little disappointing. My regular bathroom medicine cabinet's mirror just didn't give me enough magnification to see things properly.
When it comes to makeup application, the magnifying mirror is an absolute must. Eyeliner application is an art in itself and it's very easy to make some hideous mistakes when working from far away. Once I started using a magnifying mirror, the process of putting on makeup was much easier and the results were consistently outstanding.
Not everyone uses the magnifying mirror for makeup application. I have used this item to address unsightly eyebrow growth that has gone a little out of control. It's easy to miss the little details when you don't use a magnifying mirror. Now I can catch the stray hairs each and every time.
It's nice to get these things under control before stepping into the office bathroom. (You know the one with the glaring, unforgiving florescent lighting.) All of the little details like uneven makeup, stray eyebrow growth and misapplied eyeliner are instantly put under the spotlight in this kind of lighting. I like to see all these details in the magnifying mirror before getting shocked in a public bathroom.
Today's magnifying mirror comes in many shapes and forms. This product can be accompanied by a handful of lights on either side of the mirror. The lighted magnifying mirror is my personal favorite because I get to see everything in a bright light. There's no mismatching makeup or botched eyeliner applications when I use this mirror.
My husband, on the other hand, likes a simple, round magnifying mirror for quick grooming fixes. His is attached right to the wall and it extends on a retractable arm. This is a very convenient item for someone who consistently loses things. He never has to search around for the magnifying mirror.
You may find that you prefer a product that goes right into the shower with you. This kind of magnifying mirror is often fog-free and very durable. There are plenty of different options in this product and I hope to see more of these used on a regular basis. The little details make all the difference.
