High- Definition Television and HDTV Products

High definition television is a television broadcasting system that may come in digital and analog formats. Broadcasting of high definition television is made digitally. The HDTV technology was introduced commercially by the Digital HDTV Grand Alliance in the United States in the last decade of the twentieth century.

There are different HDTV products that can help display or produce greater resolution in less bandwidth. They can come in various features, sizes and technologies.

HDTV has gradually replaced the traditional broadcasting system and format in television in several countries. Standard definition television and analog broadcasting system could become a thing of the past.

There are various countries in Europe that have switched from analog transmission to digital television broadcasting. Sweden, Netherlands, Finland, Andorra and Luxembourg are countries which have successfully completed its transition from analog to digital television. Other countries have also followed in making the transition. When the transition occurs, HDTV products would become common items.
