Installation of marble flooring is same as we do for ceramic tiles, but the only difference is marble is heavier than ceramic tiles.  Let’s begin with a normal floor. First, we need to check the hardness of the floor. In other words how muscular and robust is our floor. If floor is not strong, there is chance of cracking of marble group. Second, we need to check the level of our floor. If floor is not well leveled, add some material to make it level.  One more important point is to take the measurement of the floor. Take length and breadth of the floor and then mark the four corners of the floor with a marker and at the same time find out the center point of the floor. Once we are done with measurement, we can go for installation.

Make sure measurement should be perfect, otherwise at the end of the installation we will find that some free space leftover from each corner of the floor, which will give an unprofessional look to your marble flooring. And the third point is to lay marble on the floor. Put adhesive or the relevant material on the floor. Let it be sticky and then put marble. It is better to start form the center and then spread to all corner of the floor. Try to give evenly space or gap in between marble piece. Just to get good look. Since the installation of marble flooring is very important, hire professional to do it. But take your own decision, while opt for color, design, and shape.  Things to Remember While Going for Marble Flooring

During Transportation: Do not take Marble in slab from long distance as there is a chance of cracking. Insist manufacturer to make the slab at your place. Additionally it is convenient to take the measurement for Marble flooring at your destination.

At fabrication center: More you spend more you get the polishing.
It depends on your budget what kind of polishing you need.

Maintenance: Do mopping on a daily basis. Do not allow liquid like oil, acid to contact with floor as they cause stain. Also citrus fruit, alcohol, tea, coffee, and putting hot vessel on floor can leave stain on marble floor. It is advisable to clean the marble floor with soap and water or bleaching powder.

For proper care for your marble flooring take the tips from your dealer. Remember good maintenance is as important as good installation. A combination of above would give your floor a sparkle not seen in many homes.
