When I visited Grandma last Thanksgiving, I noticed an old radio on the mantelpiece. Asked if it can still be used, Grandma said that it ‘died’ ages ago after the transmitter broke but she kept the radio for sentimental reasons. See, back then, she always listened to the radio for entertainment, and also for updates during the war. I wanted to do something about it for her, since she didn’t want to throw the radio away, and it’s just taking up space on the mantelpiece, I decided to try to fix the radio for her. I know there’s the possibility of me completely ruining the radio, but since it’s working anymore, there’s nothing to lose, right?
