Free Easy Card Tricks
If you’re one of the many people who are interested in magic, one aspect of magic which you might be interested in is that of the magic tricks which utilize cards. If this is the case, you might even want to look at some free easy card tricks which you can learn quickly, and perform quite easily.
Most card tricks are easy to learn, at least the beginner’s magic card tricks. When you go deeper into the art of learning card tricks, you will find that there is a large amount of skill involved and that you do need to practice even the simplest maneuver many time before you are able to master it.
Card tricks don’t always need to deal (if you will forgive the pun), with playing card games or even picking a card out of the pack which an audience member has chosen. There are many different types of card tricks for you to perform, just as there are different types of free easy card tricks for you to find, which you can use to help you learn magic card tricks.
One of the easiest of these free easy card tricks which you can perform requires you to have a handkerchief, a toothpick, and an ordinary deck of cards. Practice is essential for you to pull this trick off beautifully, as is an audience to appreciate it!
Take the toothpick and measure it against the width (the short side) of a playing card. Cut the toothpick so that it is exactly the same size as the width of the card; the toothpick will then need to be placed into the hem of handkerchief. Make this fairly secure so that the toothpick doesn’t fall out, this will ruin the trick!
To perform the trick, you will first need to place the deck of cards on the table in an untidy pile. Tell your audience what you are going to do, and lay the handkerchief over the cards with a flourish; make sure the toothpick-hem side is near you. Mutter a few magic words and with your thumb and middle finger, grab the edges of the toothpick. This will look to your audience as if you are grasping a card by the edges.
Slowly lift the “card” from the deck of cards, into the air. Your audience will believe it to be concealed within the folds of the handkerchief, so you will have no problems there. Say a dramatic magic word, and then throw open the handkerchief to reveal to your audience that the card has disappeared.
Simple, easy and effective. It is also one of the most fun card tricks to do, because your audience simply has no idea how you managed to make the card disappear into thin air. How’s that for expanding your repertoire using free easy card tricks!
