The Things Cameras Can Do These Days With Digital Camera Video
The Things Cameras Can Do These Days With Digital Camera Video
Recently I purchased a new digital camera made by Kodak and I love the little thing. With the addition of an inexpensive memory expansion I can take up to 1,600 pictures without having to change the memory! It is pretty impressive. The nice thing about it is that I can purchase a memory card for about the cost of a roll of standard film and keep separate memory cards for each vacation or holiday I take pictures for. The convenience is unbelievable. But the thing that amazes me the most about my new camera is that it can shoot digital camera video of very high quality. I have used it a few times already and not only does it shoot high quality digital camera video but the sound that this camera records is unreal.
When I bought the camera I knew it did videos but I had no idea the digital camera video was of such a high quality. Advances in technology are just wonderful. With the inexpensive 2GB memory expansion I can shoot digital camera videos that are up to 45 minutes long and the whole thing still amazes me. I recently used my new camera to make a digital camera video of my two nephews getting baptized and, even though I was at least thirty to forty feet away from the priest, the picture and sound were incredible.
There Are Some Drawbacks
As awesome as the digital camera video is it does have one very noticeable drawback. The format that the camera records in is .mov format and this format cannot be burned to DVD without investing in some conversion software. The software is not expensive and I am sure that they had a good reason to make the digital camera videos in .mov formats. Either way I can still watch my videos on my computer and I have even posted a couple to Youtube that are clean and family orientated. It takes two AA batteries that can last a while but can also get expensive to keep buying so all I need is a rechargeable AA battery setup, some blank 2GB memory cards, and a copy of the conversion software and I have a pretty high end digital camera video set up.
If you are in the market for a new digital camera then you are in luck because the prices are dropping while the features are increasing. You should always shop around of course but don't be shy to try one of these new cameras that takes digital pictures, uses a memory expansion card, and can take digital camera video. You will not be disappointed at the value you get for your money.
