Typically, people do not associate the words "travel cheap" with a trip to Europe. But you will be pleasantly surprised At how little you will need to spend once you are there. To travel cheap to Europe, you can often have yourself placed on standby for any available flight that is not booked full. Airlines will often offer deep discounts on these flight, because it costs them too much to fly overseas with empty seats.
You can travel cheap once you're in Europe, just by taking one of the famous backpacking tours across the continent, and staying in hostels along the way. These hostels offer a room and a hot meal to travelers backpacking across Europe. You can find these hostels at regular intervals throughout the continent, and can stay at many of them for right around five dollars a night.
