Bachelor of Vocational Education Degree
An undergraduate degree that can qualify an individual to become a vocational instructor in public schools or trainer for private enterprises is one of the bachelor's degree programs offered by some schools. Bachelor of Vocational Education degree is currently offered by some universities and colleges in the United States. Australia, Canada and other countries also have this kind of degree program in some of their colleges and universities.
Vocational instructors in community colleges in California have been required to have a bachelor of vocational education degree. This can be seen as a form of accreditation to vocational teachers that provide instruction in the traditional academic system.
Other universities may offer bachelor in vocational education degree with different names. Bachelor of Career and Technical Education degree or bachelor of Vocational Education and Training are equivalent to a degree in BVE.

These are requirements for a Designated Subjects Vocational Education Teaching Credential in California.
Bachelor of Vocational Education degree can be taken by individuals who currently have careers in teaching, training and supervisory works. This can be best taken by vocational instructors who have not yet had a baccalaureate degree. Individuals who opted to this bachelor's degree can gain college credit out from the experiences from their vocations by completing a SWAN Portfolio. This contains an evaluation of teaching and application experiences.
Schools and universities in California that offer Bachelor in Vocational Education degree include San Diego State University and California State University. University of Tasmania is one of the schools in Australia that offer Bachelor of Vocational Education degree.
Aside from a bachelor's degree, other colleges and universities also offer associate in vocational education degree. Charles Sturt University in Australia offers this kind of educational program.
