Notebook Backpack Provides Safe Laptop Computer Transport
Notebook Backpack Provides Safe Laptop Computer Transport
With many more people carrying laptop computers to school and to their job, the notebook backpack has taken on a new role. Traditionally designed for use for kids hauling their homework to and from school, a little extra padding and few more pockets have been added making the notebook backpack an ideal, safe and secure means of carrying their laptop computers.
The potential for damage has been greatly reduced as the notebook backpack often carries several additional layers of padding as well as straps to hold the computer firmly in place. The shoulder straps make them easier to carry on the back as opposed to the suitcase style cases that were originally designed for laptop computer use. Additionally, a good notebook backpack will have additional space for carrying a portable printer and cables, if needed, to connect other peripherals the individual may need.
While some designs of the notebook backpack also allow space for transporting books and other items used in school or work, the primary role they play is to allow a hands free way of carrying a notebook computer. This is especially good for students, who must walk or ride bicycles to and from classes as well as the urban executive who uses a bicycle or motorcycle to commute to work.
Backpacks Shrink Along With Computer Size
As the sizes of notebook computers grow thinner, the size of the notebook backpack has shrunk along with them. Inside of a good quality pack there may also be a separating sleeve in which the laptop computer can be securely nestled, protected from the damage from jostling around inside a loose case. Ideally, this sleeve will be located so as to hold the laptop against the person's back to keep it safe from external damages.
As the sizes of the laptop computer screens have changed, the notebook backpack sizes have also been adjusted. With many more featuring a 17-inche screen, considerably larger than the older 13-inch models, the size of the notebook backpack has also adjusted. Although most laptops are thinner and about the same height, the width has grown longer, forcing the manufacturers to adjust the length of the packs.
The notebook backpack should sit relatively high on a person's back to allow the added length of the computer to sit comfortably on their back and not be bounced on the seat of the bike as they ride. Typically beginning at the shoulder, a properly fitted notebook backpack will end above the belt line providing comfort and care for the backpack's contents.
