The need for the human race to find as well as use alternative energy resources is urgent and certainly one of the major challenges that need to be addressed without further delay, even though we have been generating electricity for well over a hundred years. However, the oil as well as coal derived power that worked well until sometime back has become partly incapable of meeting our ever increasing needs for good energy and thus we need to put in more money in order to find out all that we can about alternative energy resources and how best to put them to good use.

Despite a lot of advances having taken place as far as alternative energy resources go, the price of producing power from alternative energy resources is still on the high side, though by using wind and water as well as sun resources, we may be able to, once the technology is perfected, to address our needs in a more satisfactory manner.
There no doubts the fact that alternative energy resources are the key to our future because if we don't find out how to make them meet our energy requirements, then our planet would eventually be blacked out and we might have to descend back to the way we were in the Middle Ages. However, despite the fact that we can and should use only solar and wind as well as geothermal and also any other type of energy that we can, these are not without their advantages and disadvantages and so we must carefully evaluate them from all sides before we can come up with a viable solution that should address economical and political and also practical issues as well.
