Chocolate Gifts For All Occasions
Whilst giving chocolate gifts for all occasions are appreciated, anyone could be forgiven for thinking that the period between Christmas and Easter is an absolute bonanza time for chocolate manufacturers, and quality chocolatiers in particular, to be having some great chocolate gifts for sale. With so many different occasions to prepare chocolate gifts for, the period from late December to any time up to early May is probably the busiest period on any chocolatiers calendar.
December and January chocolate gifts
The two stand-out occasions for chocolate gifts in these two months are, of course, Christmas Day and New Years Day. These are traditional days the world over for giving presents; and chocolate gifts are no exception to this rule. Chocolate gifts for all occasions in December and January include Christmas chocolate hampers and specially selected and prepared chocolate treats for New Years Eve parties and New Years Day celebrations. Not forgetting of course, sending a chocolate gift to someone who has a birthday in either of these months, or indeed any of the first few months early in the New Year.
Sending chocolate gifts in February to May
You could just as easily say you’ll be sending chocolate gifts for all occasions in these months as, in these months are many of the main occasions on which you would traditionally send chocolate gifts: Valentines Day, Shrove Tuesday, Mothers Day and Easter Sunday. Of all these four occasions only Valentines Day has a universally fixed date - February 14th. There are three gifts traditionally given on Valentine’s Day - Flowers, especially red roses, Champagne and chocolates. Sending a heart shaped box of Valentine’s chocolates from one of the top chocolatiers couldn’t fail to melt the heart of your Valentine, whilst by using a top quality online chocolatier you can be confident the chocolates won’t melt too before they’re delivered! The other three occasions are all moveable feasts - so sending a chocolate feast as a gift for them would seem quite appropriate. Depending on where in the world you are living the type of gift you might give for Shrove Tuesday will vary. However, one thing that’s true the world over is that Shrove Tuesday is always associated with preparing for the Lent fast; so giving someone a chocolate gift before Lent would be highly appropriate as giving up chocolate for Lent is, today, one of the ways many people pay homage to this old fasting tradition. Or, put another way, why not have a real chocolate treat before forgoing chocolate for 40 days and nights! Whilst the USA and most of the rest of the world celebrates Mother’s Day the second Sunday in May, in the UK Mother’s Day can occur anytime in March or April. The exact date of Mother’s Day in the UK coincides with the fourth Sunday of Lent. Mother’s Day gifts of chocolates are always well received, but if you live in the UK, or if you want to send a Mother’s Day chocolate gift to your Mom in the UK - do check your calendar to see exactly which Sunday it falls on. Finally we come to the occasion most closely associated with giving chocolate gifts - Easter. The tradition of giving chocolate Easter egg gifts started in Europe in the 1800s. Today it’s not only chocolate eggs that are given as chocolate Easter gifts but chocolate Easter Bunnies and traditional boxes and hampers of other delicious gourmet chocolate gifts.
Chocolate gifts for her - for all occasions
Giving chocolate gifts on Valentine’s Day and, of course, Mothers Day is traditionally associated with giving them to a special lady. It’s a fact that for many women you can literally give them ladies chocolate gifts for all occasions, not just the ones mentioned above. So don’t forget if you’re celebrating an anniversary, a birth or even needing to say sorry for something - a chocolate gift for her could just say it all.
