Police Auctions Have Arresting Deals
When the bad guys get caught, they lose a lot. Yes, they do lose their liberty and the freedom because they are sent to prison. Sometimes, in fact, they are sent to prison for a long, long time. Often, this is deserved. They also lose something else in addition to their freedom - they can lose their property.
Considering the following scenario the police arrest someone for smuggling contraband in their car and the car is impounded. The owner of the car is sent to prison for twenty years. What happens to the car? Well, since the police can't store the car for two decades they end up selling the car at any number of police auctions.
Now, this is where a savvy consumer comes into the picture because someone who is a smart shopper may end up getting an amazing deal on a number of cars - sometimes even luxury cars that would normally be out of their price range - at a very fair and affordable price. Then again, why just stop at purchasing cars when visiting police auctions?
The Items on Sale
At police auctions, any number of items may be on sale. In addition to the aforementioned cars (probably the most popular of all the items that are for sale) there can be virtually anything for sale at such an auction with the exception of pets. (for those who are curious as to what happens to seized pets, they go to the animal shelter for adoption) Any other item such as television sets or furniture will find their way to the police auctions. Also, it is not uncommon to find boats at these auctions and they can be acquired at extremely fair prices. So, police auctions remain some of the absolute best places to look for deals.
Bad Luck?
Believe it or not, there are those people who may consider shopping at police auctions as something that invites bad luck as the items that they are purchasing come from former criminals. Well, each and every individual is free to believe in any superstition that they see fit. However, if you are looking to save a few dollars (or even a lot of dollars) there needs to be an understanding that cars, boats, television sets, et al are inanimate objects and do not carry the "evil aura" of a criminal with them when they switch owners. So, really there is no negativity associated with such a purchase!
