Some Features That Your HD TV Must Have
These days there is a plethora of electronic stores that have mushroomed all over the place and even in newspapers as well as magazines there is loads of information regarding the latest as well most advanced technology improvements. And, if you happen to be a TV addict, then there is nothing quite likes owning a HD TV. HD TV or high definition TV is a continuation of the digital TVs, only more enhanced and it is also more defined and which assures viewers of getting the most complete cinematic experience.
Integrated System
Before you actually purchase your HD TV, there is a need to first look for an integrated system since that is the most complete type which also does not require any connecting receiver or tuner, and all that it needs is cable or satellite connection. On the other hand, for those who cannot quite afford the high cost of HD TV, there is another alternative worth considering and that is the HD TV-capable set which is essentially a HD TV monitor that requires an external receiver which will allow you to watch HDTV shows and programs.
Other things that you need to consider for your HD TV set include audio, connector ports, HD receiver/tuner, and finally, resolution. As far as audio features go, there is the excellent Dolby Digital Surround that is worth having, though there are other types of audio systems as well, and you also need to first try out various sound systems before deciding which is the best.
You also need to think about how many connector ports are there though they vary from model to model and brand to brand, though you must ensure that there are enough connector ports to meet all your needs, and you would normally need connector ports such as Composite Video, A/V, RF, RCA and Component video as well as HDMI and VGA.
Next, you need to ensure that your HD TV has an internal HD receiver which will enhance your viewing experience, though sometimes satellite and cable providers will provide these on rent, or even give you free external HD receivers.
Finally, you want to check a very important feature of the HD TV and that is its resolution, which if it is of poor standards, will end up making your experience with the HD TV a total waste, and you would be better off watching programs on your old television instead. At the very least, you need to look for vertical resolution that is not less than 1080i and 720p, which is a lot better than what standard televisions offer which is a single resolution of 480i.
