You might have in your records that you were a substance abuser when you would have not even touched a cigarette in you whole life. In this case you might even risk arrest on the charges of possession of illegal drugs and you would not be able to prove that it was not you when the treatment was done last time.
You might be recorded as HIV positive or even having AIDS which could turn your life topsy turvy until you realize where the problem lies.
It is difficult to prevent such theft, but not impossible. Ensure that you check all your emails and mails regarding insurance and credit card bills. If you find the slightest discrepancy immediately try to find the reasons behind it. If there is any collection call addressed to you, though you have no knowledge of having taken any loan, immediately track the source down.
