The expansion slots are where the ram is installed and they are easy to find and look at.
The user's manual will tell you exactly where the expansion slots are and how to get to them. You may have to open your laptop to do this and if you do, and your laptop is still under warranty, then you may want to stop right here. Opening your laptop while it is still under warranty will void the warranty so if you are still under warranty then contact the service provider closest to you for memory upgrading options.

If you are able to get in to your laptop then get in to it and see what the expansion slots look like. If you follow the instructions in your manual you will not hurt the laptop. Do not touch anything and always make sure you keep metal away from the inside of a laptop and always ground yourself by touching metal before you open your laptop.
