So You Think You Want to Learn Spanish?
More than half of today's high school students could not find their home state on a map of the United States. Many had not read more than one book in their lifetime and that includes books they were assigned to read for class projects. The English language is becoming eroded and is starting to fall to pieces into a sea of apathy and really bad grammar. So after all of that you still want to learn Spanish?
Here is a little advice for you if you really think you want to learn Spanish. Before you can even begin to learn how to speak in a foreign language you will want to first learn how to speak properly in your own language. Do that, and learn where your home state is located on a map of the United States, and then you may be able to not only want to learn Spanish but actually able to learn it as well. Any desire to learn a foreign language needs to have the solid foundation of the understanding of your own language under it first and if you really want to learn Spanish then you will need to take this to heart.
The fact is that with a larger part of our society speaking only Spanish it is not only becoming a desire that people want to learn Spanish, but in some cases it is becoming mandatory. If you know that your future career will involve coming into contact with a wide cross section of our American society then you are going to want to learn Spanish and probably also need to learn Spanish. If you plan on entering the service industry in any way then you will want to learn Spanish. If you want to enter into government work then you will want to learn Spanish. Anything that has the potential to put you into contact with a large cross section of American society is probably a good reason to want to learn Spanish. If you want to be able to get along in our shifting society you will want to learn Spanish.
Higher Education
Many colleges are finding that students want to learn Spanish and are using Spanish as their language requirement. Considering how the world is changing that is probably a very good move and if you are going to be attending college soon, or you know someone that will be attending college soon, you may want to consider taking Spanish as your language requirement. It is not out of the question that Spanish may become a mandatory educational requirement in the United States as well so you might want to consider that as part of your decision making process.
Ah the youth of today; so bright eyed with the promise of tomorrow and so unable to communicate with the language of today. Considering how much time kids spend on video games today maybe it would be a good idea to invest in Spanish speaking video games to get them started!
