Enjoy An Affordable Snorkling Trip On The Marietas Islands
If you have never heard of Puerto Vallarta, now is a good time to get acquainted with this excellent holiday destination that among other things provides you with an outstanding opportunity to enjoy a wonderful snorkling trip in the excellent Marietas Islands. This sanctuary that is protected by Mexican law is also one of the only two places on the planet where you can get a chance to see the Blue Footed Baby that is believed to be one of the rarest birds in the world.
Half-Day Or Full Day Trips
There are basically three islands that make up the Marietas Islands and Lovers Beach is one of them and it is also a most visited tourist beach and for good reason too because here you can relax and unwind as wave after wave pounds the beach in the same ways that they have done for centuries on end. Even if you only plan on spending just a single day in Puerto Vallarta, you will still be offered different types of snorkling trips including half-day and full day ones which cost approximately seventy dollars per head and which often includes the price of snacks, lunch and refreshments.
However, you should be prepared to spend about three hundred dollars per day when taking these snorkling trips which price would of course also include the tips that you would be giving. Still, if you consider a few helpful guidelines, your snorkling trip need not cost you so much money and if you plan ahead and are adventurous by nature you can even enjoy your snorkling trip in Puerto Vallarta for about half of these three hundred dollars.
You will of course need to be very frugal and choose to hop a bus ride instead of cabbing it from Puerto Vallarta marina to the lovely village called Punta Mita that lies to the north of the bay and this ride would cost a mere two dollars per head for a one way ride. At Punta Mita, you can then negotiate for hiring a boat and the rent that you pay will also include cost of hiring the snorkelling equipment and for this price you will also get a tour of the nearby Marietas Islands as well.
Typically, your snorkling trip to the lovely Marietas Islands will mean spending a couple of hours there and the cost of such a trip would be between seventy to hundred dollars which is what you will pay for hiring the boat. If you throw in another thirty odd dollars for eating and having refreshments, the entire snorkling trip at the Marietas Islands won't cost you more than one hundred and forty dollars and it would be money well spent.
The only difference between such a customized snorkling trip and a regular trip is that such trips are personalized to suit your own needs and you also get more privacy than when taking the guided tours which have many other snorkelers whose numbers may even be as high as one hundred which makes taking these snorkling trips somewhat like being on a cattle boat.
