Have Fun With A Temporary Tattoo
Tattoos are becoming trendy and even the most unlikely of people have tattoos. So what if you want to get in on the tattoo action but don't like the idea of all that pain or something permanently etched on your skin? Well there's always a temporary tattoo for those of us who are fickle minded or who would pass out at the sight of a needle.
In fact having a temporary tattoo can sometimes be more fun than having a real one as you can keep changing the design. The temporary tattoo has come a long way from the stick on ones that you used to get free with bubble gum and now you can get one that looks just like the real thing.
Kid's Stuff
For kids there are always the decal type of temporary tattoo that you once came wrapped up with a piece of bubble gum. Now you can buy stick on tattoos on their own in a variety of designs. They come in many shapes, sizes and designs. Children love being able to have these temporary tattoos and they could be a fun addition to a party pack at a birthday party. Adults might like playing around with these designs too.
Henna Tattoos
Another type of temporary tattoo that you can have is a henna tattoo. Traditionally henna designs are drawn on the hands and feet of women. However, you can now get a temporary tattoo with henna on any part of your body regardless of gender. The design will last for about two weeks or so.
Henna usually leaves a brown to reddish color depending on the quality of the henna used. There is no such thing as black henna though some people may claim to offer such henna. This henna has been mixed with chemicals to make it darker and you should avoid using it on your skin.
Air Brushing
There is now another way to have a temporary tattoo that looks just like the real thing. Temporary airbrush tattoos are great in that they look just like the real thing minus the pain. A stencil is placed on your skin and then the ink is sprayed on. This will typically last about two weeks depending on the area of your body it is on and the frequency of contact with water and sweat.
Having a tattoo that only lasts a few weeks can often help you decide if you want to get a tattoo for real. Seeing the design on your body for a few weeks will tell you if you can live with it for a lifetime. If you decide not to then it won't cause you any pain, physically and in monetary terms.
