Lately there has been a desire among a lot of people to build their own wakeboard winch and this can go one of two ways. If you do not know what you are doing and you are trying to learn as you go along then that is great but don't take your first few experiments out on the open water to test them. If you are new to building a wakeboard winch you will probably want to test your first few winches under controlled conditions where there is little to no chance that anyone will get hurt.
