About the Xbox 360 Arcade
The Xbox 360 arcade is navigated through your dashboard. In order to enjoy the service, your Xbox 360 has to be connected to the internet. You can do this with any internet connection, and even wirelessly if you have the correct adapter for it.
You don't even have to pay for the Xbox live subscription in order to download the games, but make sure you have plenty of Microsoft points on you unless you stick to the freebies. In addition to the free Xbox 360 arcade, if you have an Xbox live subscription you can play with and against other players online.
Games Found on the Xbox 360 Arcade
Carcassonne-
Sierra Online presents a pretty sounding game, full of color and pickled with plenty of addictive fun. The game is a puzzle, but not your ordinary kind. Set in times around the 1880's, you'll find it delightful but addictive when it comes to challenging your opponent by claiming cities and roads.
As the map gets bigger, the images on it get smaller so it can be harder to get around the further in to the game you get. Other than that, this simple game doesn't really have any faults. You can even try it for free with their demo before you decide to spend some Microsoft points on it, but chances are you'll be adding this Xbox 360 arcade game to your collection.
Contra-
Just like the old school game, it will take you back in time to when having fun didn't come with any guilt. The same features, same levels and the same graphics make this blast from the past a game worth downloading from the Xbox 360 arcade.
Hexic HD-
Try your wits with this challenging puzzle game. The goal is to move colors hex shapes around so that 3 or more of the same color are grouped together. The more you group together, the more points you score. The colors are vibrant in the game and it's got a real tetris feel to it.
Aegis Wing-
Choose form normal or insane mode when embarking on an adventure with this game. Like Galaga, the mission is to shoot everything in your way and then some while continually flying vertically towards danger. If you like simple arcade games that can offer hours of fun with lots of levels that get progressively harder, you'll love this Xbox 360 arcade game.
