How to Remove BBQ Stains From Your Clothes

BBQ stains are some of the toughest stains you will every have to deal with. If you spill some BBQ sauce or drop a small piece of barbeque on your favorite dress, you are in big trouble. Fortunately, with immediate action and the use of the right stain removal agents, you may be able to remove the stains and save your clothes. To help you remove BBQ stains from your clothes, here are some tips for you.

Wash Your Clothes Immediately

If you do not remove the BBQ stains your clothes immediately, it will be doubly hard for you to remove it a few hours after. You may also soak your stained clothes in warm soapy water for a while before you wash it to soften the tough stains. To avoid further damage to your clothes, read the laundry instruction label on your clothes first before you use any anti stain agent on your clothes. Do not use bleaching agents especially on colored fabrics. You don't really want to ruin your clothes.

When washing the BBQ stains on your clothes, put some laundry powder on the stained area, fold the fabric and then gently rub the fabric together. Rubbing the fabric together will help loosen the BBQ stains. Just make sure that you do not rub the fabric together too vigorously to prevent damage. Is it alright to use a brush to remove the BBQ stain? Brushing is not really good especially for soft delicate fabrics however, if your clothes are made of denim or other tough materials, you may use a soft brush to help remove BBQ stains.

What Should You do if You Cannot Wash the BBQ Stain Off Right Away?

If you cannot just take off your clothes and head for the laundry area right after your clothes are stained, stay calm. Remove as much barbecue sauce as you can from your clothes. Use a clean paper towel to gently blot out the wet sauce from your clothes. Take care not to spread the sauce in your clothes. After blotting out the wet sauce, use a wet towel to gently remove some of the stain off your clothes.

Take out as much sauce as you can. As soon as you get home, soak you stained clothes in lukewarm soapy water for a while to loosen up the stain before you start washing your clothes. If you need to use some stain removing agents to clean your clothes, use these stain removing agents with care. Do not just pour the stain removing agent unto your clothes without reading the laundry labels on your clothes.
