On the flip side are the people who do not want their names in such a directory since they pay for any incoming minutes and only give their number to the people from whom they are willing to take calls. Having the directory online may offer some convenience, but when looking for a number you would have to be seated at a computer, which is not always possible. Whether it is done by subscriber, by geographical area, by state or by individual network, the size of a directory of mobile phone numbers would surely be too large to provide any efficient use.
Essentially, the best way to locate the number of a cell phone subscriber may not be through a directory of mobile phone numbers. You can probably find it easier by sending them an email and asking for it. Or ask them to call you and write it down from your Caller ID.
