Understanding The Cell Phone Blocker

If you ask someone what a cell phone blocker is, they may not know but if pushed for an answer they may reply with something that would sound like a call blocker and maybe they may think it is because you do not want calls from cell phones. Not wanting calls being made is correct but there is more to it then that. The cell phone blocker is a device that kills any cell phone and radio transmissions because it will create a temporary dead zone. This means that anyone on a cell phone within the certain amount of distance from this cell phone blocker will have his or her call disconnected. Most people would just assume they naturally lost their signal while all the while it was someone else using a cell phone blocker.

They make these products in sizes that range from small and portable hand held sized devices all the way up to larger wall mounted devices. Of course, the bigger the device, the bigger the range is to where a dead zone is activated. The cell phone blocker is being marketed to people who are sick of having people talking on their cell phone at the movies or while in school or church. The thought is that this tool is used as retaliation on those who annoy use but really, by using such devices, we would be taking away our rights to our freedom.

Where They Are Legal

In most areas of Asia it is legal to purchase, sell, and make use of the cell phone blocker but that does vary from country to country so one does have to keep an eye out because if caught with one in a county where you should not have one, you are looking at a lot of trouble. Europe does not allow their citizens to purchase a cell phone blocker and it is only legal to sell them if they are being sold to government personnel. Again, like some of the countries in Asia, if found using a cell phone blocker and you are not a government official, you could be facing a fine, jail time, or even both.

The United States has the same stand point on the cell phone blocker as they are not allowed to be purchased or used by your everyday citizens. It is also only legal to sell them if the person doing the purchasing is of the government or if you are selling to countries that have approval from the US State Department. If the FCC finds someone using a cell phone blocker, they can face jail time and a pretty hefty fine. With how serious the punishment is, there is no reason why you would want to purchase one just for some giggles about disconnecting someone's call.
