Tippmann Paintball Guns

While Tippmann does not make the flashiest paintball guns on the market, their
reputation is to make some of the most reliable. The A-5, for instance, is a bit heavier and slower than most paintball guns but is easily upgraded, can withstand a great deal of use and abuse on the playing field and is one of the lowest costing basic units.

The A-5 can fire on either CO2 or compressed air and is a completely mechanical feed so no batteries are required. The A-5 can still deliver up to seventeen shots per second when well maintained. On the downside, the A-5 is built in a special model style so there are no parts which can be interchanged in other makes or models of paintball gun. The A-5 seldom requires internal maintenance but when you do have to go inside to fix a problem it can be a difficult task. The Tippmann A-5 paintball gun is considered to be the most accurate of the mechanical fire markers.

The Tippmann Model 98 Custom paintball gun is a steady, all metal, mechanical fire classic. With such features as the hinged elbow to access the firing chamber and a firing recoil strong enough to give you, not only the feel of a real firearm, but helps shake down the next paintball from the hopper for the lowest mis-feed ratio of any mechanical feed paintball gun.

The basic 98 Custom is very inexpensive and has a wide range of customizable upgrades that can have your Model 98 Custom Tippmann paintball gun a lifelong companion from first day to professional play. The rugged construction can withstand the roughest treatment of any paintball gun. The only drawbacks to the 98 Custom is that it can only maintain a six to eight shot per second automatic firing volume and, since Tippmann also manufactures real firearms, their paintball guns look almost too much like the real thing and need to be carried in public with caution.
