You Can Benefit A Lot From Honeymoon Specials
The honeymoon business is a growing industry and there are a lot of companies that want your honeymoon business. You would be surprised at how many honeymoon specials are out there and how many perks you can get from various companies for just being on your honeymoon. There are the obvious honeymoon specials offered by travel agents and their associated partners, but sometimes the best honeymoon specials are the ones you either find by accident or the ones that were never advertised in the first place. When you are on your honeymoon it is always a good idea to let every company you come in contact with know you are on your honeymoon so that you can experience their unwritten honeymoon specials. They don't do them for everyone and they don't like to put them on billboards but sometimes you can find the best honeymoon specials by just mentioning you are on your honeymoon.
Sometimes finding honeymoon specials require a not so subtle approach. A story I am reminded of happened to someone I know as they were on their way to their honeymoon. They checked in to the reservations desk at the airline wearing bride and groom hats. The attendant asked if they were on their honeymoon and when they replied that they were the airline upgraded them to first class at no extra charge. That was a very nice unadvertised honeymoon specials and a very true story. What did the other passengers think? They applauded the couple as they entered the plane. Needless to say the couple wore their bride and groom baseball hats the rest of their honeymoon and were treated quite well.
Moving On Up
Sometimes the subtle approach is best. An old method for getting a honeymoon special out of a hotel is to book a regular suite and then mention to the desk clerk as you check in that you are on your honeymoon (the bride and groom baseball caps also work well). Sometimes they will upgrade you to the honeymoon suite and sometimes they will not. But if you cannot afford the honeymoon suite then this is a way of trying to get into one. If you can afford it you may as well book the honeymoon suite because this does not always work.
There are a lot of unwritten honeymoon specials out there and many companies love to show off their newly wed customers so be sure you make it known you are newly married to try and get your unwritten honeymoon specials.
