The Art of Creating Hypnosis Slaves
The idea of hypnosis is one of the few procedures that is used both as a treatment for psychological disorders and as a parlor game or for entertaining in a nightclub. Properly done hypnosis has its critics and improperly done hypnosis with subjects that are very susceptible to suggestion can be dangerous. One of the main parts of the hypnosis show for those that do the nightclub version of hypnosis is to create hypnosis slaves on stage and make them do funny things to amuse the crowd.
The main idea behind hypnosis slaves is that people will not do anything under hypnosis that they would not do while awake so when the professional hypnotist and entertainer chooses his subjects he looks for people that may seem open to the idea of hypnosis. These hypnotists get very good at identifying prospective hypnosis slaves and after a while they can tell just by how someone is acting while they are sitting in the audience whether or not they will make a good hypnosis slave.
In other cases some hypnotists take no chances and plant some hypnosis slaves in the audience, or some people that are going along with the act and work for the hypnotist, in the hopes that their actions on stage will cause the others to follow them and make the act a success. If you get some strong willed people then they are not going to make good hypnosis slaves but with hypnotists the general rule is that if they will come on stage they will probably make a good hypnosis slave.
It has been argued for years, and will probably always be argued, that hypnosis is merely people that are open to the idea of hypnosis acting out on stage just to make a show for the others and to feel like they are the center of attention. Many people argue that hypnosis is no more real that UFOs or Bigfoot but there is more to a hypnosis slave than just the power of suggestion.
Not many people will willingly embarrass themselves for the sake of someone else's stage show so the notion that these hypnosis slaves are not under some sort of trance may not be totally accurate. Some people are just strong at convincing others to do things and other people are very weak minded. This combination is what creates hypnosis slaves.
It is Not All Fun and Games
The power of suggestion is a very strong one especially on people that have weak minds to begin with and if a hypnotist is not completely certain of what they are doing then some damage can come from something as simple as a hypnotist show. People that are weak minded are more likely to take what happens on stage deep into their subconscious and it is behavior that could reappear at any time so it is always a good idea to know your own limitations when it comes to the power of suggestion and avoid a hypnotist if you may feel like nothing good can come of it.
The mind is not something that should be toyed with and in the case of hypnosis slaves done for entertainment it is usually done for fun. However if you get the wrong person on the wrong day that fun can go terribly wrong.
