Caffeine and Impotence
Researchers are constantly studying whether or not caffeine can cause impotence or contribute at all to impotence.
Impotence is when a man is unable to get or maintain an erection long enough to satisfy his partner and himself. Some men may consider themselves impotent if they can not stay erect for 60 seconds, others feel that 10 minutes is too short. It is all relative to you and your partners' desires and expectations, which is why it is often difficult to diagnose impotence.'
Caffeine is becoming more and more common in the drinks we consume. Coffee, tea, caffeine based drinks, energy drinks, cola based drinks and chocolate all contain caffeine. The average person will drink several cups of coffee, perhaps a cup of tea, an energy drink and even a chocolate every day. This is a massive amount of caffeine being put into the body.
Caffeine can prevent the body from absorbing essential minerals and vitamins. This can obviously lead to decencies which can impact on your sexual performance. Like every part of the body, the penis needs to benefit from vitamins and minerals that you consume for it to function at its peak.
Caffeine also over stimulates the nervous system. It can cause a rapid heart beat and it is believed this is a major factor in impotence caused by caffeine. Your blood pressure may also increase and it is well known that high blood pressure can result in impotence or erectile dysfunction.
Caffeine provides a short term energy hit, but a long term lethargic reaction. Obviously this is another downside when it comes to sexual activity.
Overall caffeine can be a factor in impotent men so it is highly recommended that you cut down or even eliminate your caffeine intake as a first measure in curing your impotence.
