The Joys of RV Camping

Before we can discus the true nature of RV camping, we must first understand the process through which one becomes an RV camper in the first place. While it is true that there is much fun that can be had by enjoying nature from the floor of a traditional tent, for many folks seeing nature and being part of it is quite enough. There is no need to sleep in it as well.

Tents versus the Recreational Vehicle

Of course one can spruce up a tent; you can buy cots and mattresses and fans and what have you. But then you will need an external electric supply for your tent as you will need to blow up the mattresses, and run the fans, unless you happen to carry your own portable generator or have some crafty hookup to your car engine. Then once you have figured out what you need, you will then need to carry all that paraphernalia to the campsite. By the time one adds this all up in terms of costs and inconvenience it is a difficulty sell to most busy people.

For these people RV camping is the thing. RV camping is now more popular than ever as the availability of rental trailers of all forms is increasing, the costs of the rental are decreasing and the availability of suitable campgrounds is increasing. All in all RV camping is an easy way for most people to enjoy the outdoors and to travel around the country in relative ease.

The Benefits of an RV

Truly the benefits of RV camping are much broader than just convenience and the provision of a temporary vacation home. Depending on the scale and form of your RV it can literally provide you with a moving house, almost a trailer on wheels. In fact for many retirees RV camping is a lifestyle and the RV is effectively their home as they tour the world looking for fun and relaxation. Many of these people also tow their little runabout car behind them.

RV camping can be considered a permanent vacation home for these people and in fact these RVs can be spectacular if one has the money. There are some who actually park the RV for months or years at a time and truly use it as a home. For some, RV camping is a seasonal behavior and as one season changes they might move to a more preferred location for that season. Truly the benefit of owning an RV is the ultimate flexibility in where you might want to live.
