Many people don't know that Oklahoma has many great attractions and events that add to a great tourism experience. Oklahoma's tourism industry has grown greatly in the last several years with the great revamped buildings and wonderful innovative events, Oklahoma is sure to have something for everybody.
Attractions in Oklahoma
Oklahoma is an agricultural-based state, with many attractions contributing to this. The Murray County Annual Tractor and Implement association host a three day show filled with farming wonders. Also, Livesay Orchard and Apple Hollow are fruit-inspired attractions that are sure to delight any family. Livesay Orchard sells a large variety of home-grown fruits and vegetables. Apple Hollow is a one-of-a-kind apple-inspired shop that offers many unique gifts. Oklahoma tourism also has a large Native American culture and thus they have many Indian-inspired attractions.
The Black Kettle Museum is packed full of Cheyenne-related history. The rock that is known to have healing powers to the Osage and Quapaw Indians is known as the Healing Rock located in Skiatook. Of course, Oklahoma also has many theme parks such as Frontier City and White Water; these attractions are located in the state's capitol, Oklahoma City.
Also, Oklahoma tourism wouldn't be complete with the array of cowboy and western museums. The Cowboy Hall of Fame, located in Oklahoma City, and the Chisholm Trail Historical Museum, located in Waurika, are both fun and educational. Oklahoma's tourism industry has certainly grown.

Other than hotels and motels, Oklahoma's tourism industry offers a variety of western, antique, and family-friendly places to stay.
