Beauty from Within

The causes of aging stem from many things but one thing that definitely causes aging is bad nutrition. It's hard to get proper nutrition when you are always on the go and have to sacrifice healthy in the name of convenience. The extra effort you put into getting a healthy meal means better skin and better health. Free radicals are one of the causes of aging and unfortunately there's no way to completely avoid them.

Free radicals exist in pollution, tobacco smoke, radiation and some chemicals. There is however a way to reduce or cancel out these dangerous free radicals. Eating the right foods that are rich in antioxidants is the way to get rid of free radicals. Fruits and vegetables that are brightly colored and preferably organic are a great source of antioxidants.

Sleep deprivation is also one of the causes of aging. Eight hours of sleep is a must if you want to look and feel young. Sleeping enough restores your body and helps to rejuvenate it as well as a way to avoid dark circles under your eyes. When your body is fully rested you are less likely to fall ill and your immune system won't be so easily compromised.

Excessive alcohol consumption and smoking are also causes of aging. Think of drinking as simply drinking empty calories, even if it's wine that is supposed to be healthier you are just adding unnecessary calories to your diet.

Drinking too much also damages your liver besides adding pounds to your waistline. Do you really need to know why smoking is bad for you? Smoking visibly affects your skin, aging it faster than it would without the smoking as well as damaging your lungs.

Although genetics are one of the causes of aging and our genes contribute to how well or badly we age, not everything is out of our control. With some restraint in regards to bad habits and a little effort towards good ones you can easily turn back the clock by nourishing your body from within.
