The iPod FM transmitter is compact in design so it perfectly fits your iPod and you no longer need wires just to connect to an FM radio as well. It can operate without internal batteries since it only draws what is needed from your iPod's own storage power. Moreover, the iPod FM transmitter also comes with a handy dock connector that enables you to use your Sync Charge cable while transmitting at the same time. This way, you can save battery power on your iPod because power is drawn from your car, laptop or another USB port.

A popular brand of iPod FM transmitter is the Griffin iTrip. What separates the Griffin iTrip from other iPod FM transmitters is its DX broadcasting modes or selectable LX, which enable you to adjust to achieve the best audio possible under real-world situations. With the DX mode, background noise level is lower than that of a cassette tape adapter, which allows music to seamlessly punch through even in locations where there are plenty of radio station that cause congestion in the dial.
