iPod Nano Games: Add more fun to Nano

Apple has come a long way in revolutionizing the so-called media players with its iPod Nano. Small in size, yet big in features, the iPod Nano speaks more than just being a music buddy. It contains much of what anyone from this generation wants - ultimate portable fun that lasts for hours even when you're meters away from the nearest power outlet.

An exciting addition to the iPod Nano, that the "mini" was devoid of, is the Games menu. Not to mention that iPod Nano is capable of playing video for 5 straight hours! But that would be another story. The iPod Nano games allow you to listen to music while play a few built-in games to your heart's content. Just don't forget to bring a charger with you in the event that power runs out.

Apple has included three games in the iPod Nano games menu, namely Vortex, iQuiz, and Klondlike. Of course, it would much exciting to try them on your own. The iPod Nano games look brilliant on the 2-inch (diagonal) color display that is said to be 40% brighter than the iPod mini. The screen, with a 320-by-240-pixel resolution at 204 pixels per inch, is capable of giving justice to 3-D graphics.

Need more iPod Nano games into your unit?
If you feel bored playing with the built-in games, or if you've mastered them enough and wants more challenge up your sleeve, you can simply download additional games from the iTunes store for $4.99. However, there are several sites that offer free downloadable games but you just need to be careful of other things they download into your PC (sometimes these free download sites include unscrupulous software into your catch, such as spywares and viruses). At best, if you don't want to shell out $4.99 for the games, make sure your anti-virus software is up-to-date.

Popular iPod Nano games, such as Mahjong, Bejeweled, Zuma, and Cubis 2 provide you with a game experience filled with thrills and plenty of room to explore. Many of the games incorporate lots of levels and interchangeable graphics to make viewing on your iPod Nano display easier.

Also do your homework before trying to download (and pay for) iPod Nano games. Game reviews are one means you avoid wasting money on lame iPod Nano games. You can go to trustworthy sites that distant themselves from Apple (for objectivity's sake) and read their independent reviews.

Stay updated on iPod Nano games but make sure you reserve room for what the Nano was intended for - music and videos. Remember, you only have up to 8GB to spare.
