Velasmooth Cellulite Treatment

The latest treatment developed in the battle against cellulite puckering of the skin comes from Syneron Medical Ltd. based in Israel. The Velasmooth body sculpting treatment was FDA approved in 2005 and has been used by more than one hundred thousand people so far.

The Velasmooth cellulite treatment is a non-invasive method which has been designed to replace the more painful surgical treatment of liposuction. Using infrared light along with sound wave harmonics treatments, the mechanical massage is designed to loosen and smooth out the puckered swelling of fat cells and the stress they put on the connective tissues around these fat cells. The gentle sonic vibration is supposed to decrease the collagen in the affected area and improve the circulation of blood to the formerly tightened skin.

Being a non surgical treatment for cellulite, the Velasmooth is safe and effective on almost all the skin of the body. For the first time Velasmooth user it is recommended that one take twice weekly treatments of about forty five minutes each over the space of eight weeks. After this initial loosening up, maintenance treatments are usually done at the rate of about one per month. While it is considered by many to have the feel of a deep heated massage, there are some users who do feel some discomfort using the Velasmooth Cellulite Treatment. A new Contour Applicator has recently been developed for this treatment and its slim hand held design makes it easier to spot treat specific trouble areas better than ever before.

The Velasmooth method is not

for everyone. At an average cost of $150 to $200 per treatment, it is a very expensive way to deal with a naturally occurring problem. Like any anti-cellulite treatment, it takes time for any results to be seen. There are no quick fixes for the decrease of the dimples left by cellulite development.
