This is another Japanese company that saw the practical side of motorcycles and was able to create and manufacture world-class motorcycles and then eventually other products like scooters, snowmobiles and wave crashers. The company was founded in Japan and began its life making musical instruments, which they still manufacture today. Under the guidance of Genichi Kawakami in the 1950's the company began to venture into the world of motorcycles. This was a very good choice and soon the name Yamaha was associated with motorcycles. The company also has a scooter factory where they make well-designed scooters that are a choice for many consumers.
With the evidence supporting the fact that fossil fuel is not only expensive but also becoming harder to find, the scooter factory may become more common as consumers seek ways to travel without the price of gasoline. Companies are more often researching the viable option of electrical scooters, and with their small size these could certainly be a choice that consumers begin to ask for.
