When most people think about someone suffering from a sinus infection, they generally do not think about them being in such serious danger that they need to head to an emergency room. But the fact is that some sinus infection symptoms can point to bigger problems then just your average infection and the person should be taken directly to the local hospital. Some of the sinus infection symptoms that should be watched for as an eyelid that has become swollen or droopy as this may indicate an infection of the eye socket which can come from the sinus infection and if not treated fast, can cause blindness.

Also, when thinking about sinus infection symptoms that are really serious, you want to think about personality changes, visual issues, extreme headaches, or altered consciousness when it comes to the person who is affected. If any of those sinus infection symptoms come about, then that person needs to be taken directly to the nearest emergency room. It is much better to be sent home because it was nothing than wait it out and end up blind.
