Why In The World Should You Learn Latin American Spanish?
There has been an ever increasing percentage of the population in the United States that is Latin American and it is said that soon the Latin American population will be part of the majority in this country. As with any group that picks up from its home country and re-establishes itself in a new land inevitably there will be parts of the new country's culture and language that mixes with the culture that the group brings with them from their home land.
Any group that finds themselves suddenly classified as something new always likes to add their own touch to their two cultures and that is the case with the Latin American groups. Now that they have had time to add and change their language it may be necessary to learn Latin American Spanish so that we can all better communicate with each other. In any hybrid of cultures there is always some sort of slang or unique form of the native language that evolves and Latin American Spanish is no different. In some cases people that speak native Spanish may not always understand Latin American Spanish and that is because of the injection of new culture into it.
A great example of this cross hybrid culture idea is the province of Quebec in Canada. They speak French in the province of Quebec but after hundreds of years of developing and evolving their own Canadian culture there is a form of Quebec French that has evolved that is somewhat different than native French. Many slang words have been created by the people of Quebec that do not exist in native French and this is basically what has happened with Latin American Spanish. Now that the two cultures are starting to merge and create one new culture the idea of Latin American Spanish is becoming a strong reality and many of the people that are being born and raised with Latin American Spanish are changing it even more into its own distinct culture.

Latin American culture is defined by many things and one of the things they are most identified with by other cultures is their music. Latin American music is extremely popular in the United States and as the popularity increases more and more Americans are getting exposed to Latin American Spanish and not realizing that it is a hybrid language. This exposure to the mainstream culture really helps Latin American Spanish to become its own language.
The Latin American explosion in the United States continues to roll on and as more people take notice the Latin American culture continues to grow. As more and more people are born to the evolving culture it will continue to change and add to its language for as long as people speak Latin American Spanish.
