Innovation is a constant part of the gaming world with nearly every type of puzzle now available in the form of a computer game. The numbers game Sudoku has not been lost on the computer generation as the availability of the Sudoku pocket PC is not providing a virtually endless supply of new puzzles that people can work and regenerate at their leisure. Not every Sudoku puzzle player wants to walk around with a paperback book in the pocket and once all the puzzles in the book have been successfully completed, they have nothing left but a memory of how they were worked.

The Sudoku pocket PC may take the exact same number layout and only provide 17 initial numbers, quickly turning the easy puzzle into one with much more difficulty.
Many of the Sudoku pocket PC games generated are done so by randomization to help prevent puzzle duplication. However, for most Sudoku players, three or four days later there is little chance they would recognize a duplicated puzzle.
