Fake iPhones: The Knockoffs That Came Before
The iPhone is Apple's latest i-product bound to set standards and revolutionize the world of mobile phones.
Before it even came out, open to the general public, a number of fake iPhones have made their way all over the world, in the form of Photoshop mockups. Yes, digitally edited still images of an "alien looking" mobile phones bearing the Apple logo. These images posted online were simply made to impress, or to fool, but either way added to the anticipated birthday of the iPhone.
But, a surprising number of actual fake iPhones did come out even before the real iPhone came about. These fake iPhones don't actually bear any feature closeness to the real iPhone, but are quite interesting.
Here are some of these fake iPhones.
The "i-Mobile"
The so called i-Mobile, fake iPhone features a 1.8 inch touchscreen and comes with a 2 megapixel camera. All in all, the i-Mobile fake iPhone resembles the iPod mini portable music player. It is basically a GSM 900/1800 phone which comes with a "handwriting recognition" feature.
The Deeda Pi Phone fake iPhone
For one fake iPhone, the Deeda Pi Phone is truly cleverly named. The Pi Phone fake iPhone basically is one with a 3.6 display screen with an impressive 800 x 480 screen resolution. It comes with Bluetooth connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity features. It also utilizes a proximity touch screen, and vibration alert features.
As a fake iPhone it's a close-to-the-genuine item, in terms of form, not so much with function.
The Fujian Huamin Import and Export Company's fake iPhone
This is actually a fake iPhone which has features similar to the iPhone, but not a to-the-do exact copy of the real deal iPhone. It even boasts a mock imitation of the Apple logo, which would make this fake iPhone quite convincing to those who have no idea how the real iPhone looks like, let alone the features the real iPhone boasts.
All in all, the real iPhone definitely outperforms all of the fake iPhones that came before and along it.
It has been said before that imitation is the highest from of flattery. With fake iPhones, imitations are simply items which try to emulate the real deal iPhone, its features and design and everything else.
If what one is after would be something enough to pass as an iPhone, using a fake iPhone would work, but not for long, as the real deal iPhone is now out, and clearing away all the fake iPhones by simply being what it is: the real iPhone.
