iPhone Problems: The Downsides iPhone Users Have to Say
The iPhone stands to be Apple's entry into the multimedia phone market. It is basically an internet enabled 2.75G quad-band GSM mobile phone, embedded with multimedia capabilities. As a mobile phone the iPhone is equipped with text messaging and e-mail capabilities, as well as other features like internet web browsing capabilities, visual voicemail functions and wi-fi connectivity capabilities.
One of the iPhone's more "eye popping" features would be its 4 gigabyte and 8 gigabyte storage capacities, not exactly something one would usually find in a multimedia phone, and quite a feature most persons would definitely want in a "more than meets the eye" mobile phone. As a portable movie player, as well as portable audio player, the iPhone stands to outperform leading smartphone brands and smartphone models.
But, just as every other smartphone out in the market, there are certain "iPhone problems" many users have come acquainted with in their tenure of using an iPhone. These iPhone problems aren't exactly problems, as most of these iPhone problems are actually downsides to the iPhone.
So without further ado, here is a roster of iPhone problems which many users acknowledge they could do without.
No Video Recording Capabilities
The iPhone is built with a 2 megapixel camera, which yields quite good quality pictures. But, it doesn't support video recording. Actually a downside as most leading smartphone brands have video recording capabilities.
Does Not Support Flash
As an internet capable phone, using Apple Safari as its main internet browser, it lacks the much needed support for Flash elements, as most websites now utilize Flash in their sites. Sites like YouTube can't be fully accessed, as the site features .flv files, which are flash movie files. All in all, the iPhone can go online, but just not all the way.
Limited Program Installations
With the iPhone only Apple approved applications could be installed into the phone. One's iPhone can only be successfully installed with Apple authorized applications, which could prove to be a problem for those with particular tastes for various useful applications. Customizations, with one's applications, is therefore quite limited.
Ringtone Limitations
One peculiar thing about the iPhone is that though one could fill the 4 or 8 gigabyte space it has with hundreds of mp3 audio files, one cannot customize one's ringtone using an mp3 file. Quite frustrating if you really think about it.
Typing Periods and Commas
Though the iPhone's keypads are quite comfortable and easy to use, typing periods and commas isn't the most convenient thing with it. One has to go to a different screen each time one has to punch in a comma or period, and is quite a drag when sending an SMS.
But, the major iPhone issue of iPhone problems, though, is that one has to activate the phone through iTunes.com, before one could actually use it.
It is hoped that there will be further enhancements with the iPhone, dealing with the iPhone problems many have complained about. Other than that, it is quite a phone, a portable movie player, and a portable music player as well.
