The iPhone is Apple's smartphone. Running consistent with the i-name standard all Apple products have become known to be, from the iBook to the iPod, the iPhone stands to boast cutting edge technology, bringing smartphone technology to a new level.

What you are about to read is basically an iPhone review, featuring the best and the downsides which define the iPhone. See this iPhone review as one focusing on what the iPhone boasts as a smartphone and the ironies which come along with it.

Three Ironies of the iPhone - An iPhone Review

All in all the iPhone is an internet-enabled, multimedia functional, 2.75G quad-band GSM mobile phone. Its features include text messaging capabilities, email reading and sending functions, visual voicemail capabilities and internet browsing features. It comes in two models, which boast 4 gigabyte and 8 gigabyte storage capacities, which are both quite impressive.

Its impressive built in hardware includes a 2.0 megapixel camera, as well as Wi-Fi "mount point" for the iPhone to connect to Wi-Fi connections. Because of its impressive file storage capacity, the iPhone is quite the portable audio and video player. Its user interface system stands to be quite advanced, and is stands to be the iPhone's most impressive characteristic.

But, to live up to this iPhone review's title, here are the three "ironies" about the iPhone.

Irony iPhone Review Number One

The iPhone has an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera, which is quite impressive. The thing about it is that it CANNOT record videos. Even with its impressive file storage capacity, the most its 2.0 megapixel camera could do is take still pictures. Quite an irony.

Irony iPhone Review Number Two

The iPhone's 4 or 8 gigabyte, depending on which model one gets, could literally store hundreds of mp3 audio files, which could be easily played through the iPhone's mobile phone media software system. The irony therein is that one CANNOT use any of those mp3 files as one's ringtone.

Irony iPhone Review Number Three

The iPhone has internet browsing capabilities, but has limited Flash support. With almost all websites utilizing Flash elements into their websites, one's web browsing experience would be definitely cramped.

There are other "minor ironies" about the iPhone, ranging from its iTunes dependency, Apple's software arm for the iPhone, to its inability to stream stereo sound to Bluetooth Headsets. In order for iPhone users to synchronize data from or to computer systems, iTunes must be utilized for synchronization processes. Its non-Bluetooth stereo streaming support is quite a problem for "hardcore" music fanatics who would rather do away with wires when being in their element.
