What Nintendo Wii Hardware is Available?
There are many pieces of Nintendo Wii hardware that are available and this article will take a look at some of the more popular pieces so you can decide which ones you do and do not need. While it may seem daunting at first, with a little investigation anyone can determine what Nintendo Wii hardware is truly needed and what is not.
An Overview of Available Nintendo Wii Hardware
The first and most basic piece of extra Nintendo Wii hardware is the nunchuck. Most systems include this now but if you have a system that does not it is pretty much a must have. This controller links onto the main Nintendo controller and adds additional functionality that is used in most games made today.
Next up is the Classic Controller. This is really not needed as most games you can simply use your regular Nintendo Wii controller as a classic controller. However, there are those of us that like using an old school controller with some of the games and this one fits the bill for those users. Not my cup of tea, but again it is up to you.
The next item on my must have Nintendo Wii hardware list is a controller charger. There are several different models available, but the charging stations are general the most robust and have the best bang for the buck. These can hold multiple controllers and will keep track of them as well as keeping them charged up. Just drop them in and away you go.
A nifty piece of Nintendo Wii hardware, although not a must have, is the 7" color screen. This screen attaches directly onto the Wii and allows you to basically set up your Wii as a super portable player. You can setup and go with this handy system. In addition it has sound, brightness and contrast controls. Cool option but not a must have.
If you do plan on traveling with your Wii, the next piece of Nintendo Wii hardware to look at is the car adapter. This handy little piece of hardware lets you plug your Wii directly into the standard car outlet or cigarette lighter so you can play your Wii on the road!
This is a total must have if you plan on doing any long distance traveling with kids. Coupled with the monitor above you have a totally portable Wii system. Plus at only around $10 it is not a huge investment. Hopefully this article has opened your eyes as to what additional Nintendo Wii hardware is out there, now it's up to you to decide what you really need.
